Discussion topic: Sky Q box tells me internet is not connected when it is.

Sky Q box tells me internet is not connected when it is.

On screen message says when I select Apps and sometimes using the Home button.

"It looks like you do not have an internet connection right now if you're already set-up we'll keep trying to connect.

if you have changed your internet password or router you need to connect to your network.

Go to Settings and check your network connection status to reset."

 

When I  go to settings the connection is ticked and tells me there is a connection.

if I trigger a reset the internet connection the message is still displayed even when the box agrees that there is a connection.

The Apps menu is not displayed the message replaces the Apps menu.

if the box tells me there is connection what more can I do?

the internet and WiFi are working perfectly on other devices,  iPhone and iPad.

speed test shows 350Mbs connection.

Help please.

First thing to try is to turn off the Sky box and the Internet router at the wall (or plug them out). Leave it a minute and then boot the router back up, wait until it's fully booted (all lights a steady green) and then boot the box back up.
