Yeah my opinion is the only solid fix is to not use wifi.

or get a Q booster, hardwired into the router. That seems to work for a lot of people.

I bought cables as suggested and still getting blackouts. Q is, could the fact the signal goes via the soundbar be a key factor to resolving this? Seems like i have to chose between video/audio quality or replace bar?

Its a samsung k950, Atmos is only available thru hdmi, so seems i cannot use optical for audio, hdmi for video.

As always any suggestions welcome!

Have you tested not going through the soundbar to isolate the problem?

Performed this check and all seemed ok removing soundbar from system. Now need to figure out if the item I read online about HDR pass thru is correct for my Samsung K950. It could be time to replace...

Could you just hang the soundbar off the ARC HDMI port?

As I understand it, the sky box needs to be in one of the Sound bar HDMI's for atmos to work...but I can try it...

Likely but Atmos on a soundbar is kind of nonsense anyway.

if the TV allows passthrough of the audio bitstream and has an eARC port (and the soundbar supports it too) I think Atmos might still make it through.

Currently on test with all devices now feeding into tv and then soundbar on eARC to TV.

Atmos really needs proper surround speakers to do it justice.

Having said that, I haven't even bothered with rears since we moved house 9 years ago. 😁

Mine does the same occasionally. I'm with BT . Nothing todo with BT broadband. . It's the crap sky q box. Mine loses connection and picks a sky broadband . I have to reset broadband connection. Sky box is crap
