I've been having trouble with Sky Q box not switching on
i was promised a new SkyQ box couple of weeks ago. It hasn't arrived.
I will need to terminate very soon

Who promised you a new box? Was an order placed? Give Sky a ring and ask what the delay is.
Normally, if a Q box is faulty then a new one is dispatched quickly via courier and usually arrives within a couple of days. You need to remove your viewing card and swap your faulty box with the one the courier brings and re-attach all the cabling. Make sure you swap the power supplies too and get a replacement one of those as they can differ between Q box versions.
