Sky Q box not working after moving to Trooli Broadband
I have a Sky Q box and three mini boxes and have just moved from Sky Broadband (15mb) to Trooli Full Fibre Broadband (900mb).
Ever since I have moved to Trooli my Sky Q main box connects to the internet intermittently. I have to reset the network connection every few mins if I wish to download anything. The mini boxes work fine.
Called sky this evening and they have booked an engineer but have told me the Sky Q does not like full fibre broadband and that I would have to hard wire the connection direct from the router for it to work. I asked whether I could buy a wireless adapter and connect an Ethernet cable from that, but was told that wouldn't work either.
Has anyone else been in this position or can offer any advice?

Re: Sky Q box not working after moving to Trooli Broadband
Hi,
I have exactly the same issue with Trooli and Sky Q. It's always been bad in terms of disconnecting and I've always had to reconnect the mini boxes fairly regularly but it has got worse recently. I called Trooli and they said they knew sky and trooli didn't work well together. They gave me a few things to try none of which worked. I'll probably get a sky engineer out at some point but I have no confidence in a long term solution and will probably not renew my sky contract. I also have Apple TV and streaming works great on that with Trooli. Please do post back if you find a solution!
