Sky Q box not connecting to internet.

My sky q box, that was working fine, will now not connect to the internet. I have read several other posts on this subject and tryed all the tricks and tips listed therein, all to no avail.

Same for me. Was working fine couple of days ago. Tried all the recommended "fixes" multiple times but still no joy. Internet is working fine on all other devices.

Hi @Corrode+Alloy Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?

Hi Quoman, Yes I have tryed all that several times and a few other things too. It's now telling me I have no satelite signal! Well there wouldn't be as there is no satelite dish.

@Corrode+Alloy have you recently moved into a property with no satellite dish or had it taken down for building works as Sky Q needs a satellite dish to work.

@Laing1  Having checked my dish, I find I have the finest dish in the realm but I'm not interested in the dish at all. The only thing I'm concerned about is connecting my q box to the internet as it was in times past, not very long ago. It is this that I'm having a little trouble with and am indevering to rectifiy.

@Laing1  Sorry about that. I confuse myself sometimes. The dish is there and working great but I keep getting this everytime I try to connect to the internet.

so who is your broadband provider is it Sky or a third party ?

@Laing1 Sky provides our broadband. Our router has model number SR203 and looks like this:

@Corrode+Alloy yeah I have that router 

so have you tried doing a network reset on the main Q box ie go into settings > setup > network then scroll across to reset I am guessing you probably have already tried that

 

I have noticed when I've reset the network that it can take 3 or 4 attempts with wps before the router connects to the box

@Corrode+Alloy I can escalate this to Sky for you where they may contact you on a chat window through the forums. It's not instantainious chat but it may help ? it may be today or moe possibly tomorrow that Sky may pick it up ?

You may receive an email or a private message inviting you to have a private conversation on the Community with a Sky Expert.

Look out for a chat bubble at the bottom of your screen inviting you to a chat
