Sky Q box losing internet connction

Hi

I have a Sky Q box and Virgin Media Hub 5 router & broadband, both have been setup and in use for over a year without issue but in the past few weeks the Sky Q box loses the internet connection daily

Going through the network reset on the Sky Q box restores the connection for a few hours but will then drop the connection. Both the router and Sky Q box have been restarted

Have tried setting the DNS config to 8.8.8.8, setting a manual static IP address and changed the WiFi config to either 2Ghz or 5Ghz but still drops out

Within Settings the satelitte signal, Sky Go and Sky Q connections are all set ok

The Sky Q Mini box is also having the connectivity problems

Sky Q box is in the same room as the router, cabling with an ethernet cable isnt possible, all other devices in the house (multiple TV's, phones, consoles and laptops) all connect without issue to the router and do not suffer dropouts

Any other suggestions on getting it permanently fixed are welcome

The Q uses channel 36-40 for its mesh - what is the router on?

The router is set for channel optimization for both ranges so doesnt use a static channel

Maybe worth trying fixing it away from that one as a test.

have you got any apps that can detect which wifi channels are in-use nearby?  The Apple Airport one does it.

No but can see if I can find one for Android. Has there been any software or firmware updates pushed out recently that might have caused it, looked online for SkyQ but couldnt find anything. Its not been an issue before so can't work out why it's just started

Same problem but with vodafone router.

Got no resolution but thought it would help to know you are not alone

Same issues, a recent occurrence.Use a 4g router as our internet is beyond archaic.

Router looses connection on multiple occasions throughout the day, beyond a joke. Nothing else gets disconnected. Useless and not fit for purpose.

I'm on YouFibre and same problem. I object to being expected to find solutions myself. Why don't Sky fix the issue.
