For the 2nd time within 2 months our Sky Q box after being off overnight doesnt work in the morning ie it wont turn on and when it finally decides to turn on it says it has no sattelite signal eventually after a de power and trying to turn it off and on it boots up but the sky remote doesnt work so I reconnect the remote using the 7 and 9 buttons. This takes about 30 to 40 mins for it to start working again and has happened twice now.
The Sky Q box is now working but all of our recordings are deleted.
Why does this keep happening a faulty box? and what can I do about it?

You log the fault with Sky and they arrange for the box to be swapped out by courier.
Remember to remove the viewing card before handing the old one over on the doorstep.
