I have a fault with my Sky Q box connected to my TV. Every now and then the screen on the TV goes black, there is no message to say the connect lost, faulty, or anything else. Switching the box on/off with the remote returns to the Home Page and from there we can navigate to where we were watching.
The TV is new (same fault was on the old TV). The HDMI cable is new. All connections appear to be sound and the box has been disconnected from the power to reset a number of times.

Hi @Richard235
Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.
Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.
Resetting the settings will also reset:
Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

I've been getting this for over a year now. In my case it mostly happens when exiting playback of a recording. It doesn't happen often (three or four times a year perhaps). I usually find that putting the box in standby and leaving it alone for a minute or two will cure. Occasionally though it just doesn't want to know so if it's not recording anything I power cycle it. If it's recording then I leave it alone as the problem doesn't impact recordings.
I've also had the box fail to output a video signal when coming out of standby. The box is obviously alive as it successfully powers on the TV but then after a dozen seconds the TV will complain that it can't see a signal. It's probably the same fault as the fix is the same.
Unfortunately I suspect there's nothing to be done other than live with it and hope it doesn't get any worse.
