Sky Q box is dying again.

Hi Back in March I had a problem with Sky Q box. Can't remember what the error message said. It ended up with me having to reset my box whilst having a 45 minute phone call with a lovely young man in Romania I lost all my saved films etc. Previous to the box dying I was having to reset it every time.e I turned it on and pixilated picture every few minutes. Well, this is happening again. The young man said I needed a new box at the time, but its so difficult to actually speak to someone! Does anyone know what number to call? I've just called and the robot sent me a text with a link to help pages! Not helpful. Thanks Karen

Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Thank you. Followed the link and eventually got to ' order a new box'. I had no idea you could do it like that. Karen x

It will probably be via a 'doorstep box swap' whereby a courier company (usually DPD in the UK) deliver a new box and take your pre-disconnected faulty box away so remember to remove the viewing card from the old box before it disappears into the van and also the swap the power cable as it may differ from the one you have.
