Sky Q box giving a black screen on Denon receiver
I have a Sky Q 2TB UHD with HDR box, and have all of my equipment running through my Denon AVR-S760H.
The Denon has 1 cable using ARC running to my TV, and then going into the Denon is an Xbox Series X, a Shield TV, Nintendo Switch and the Sky Q box.
All of the devices are working perfectly except for the Sky Q box.
The behaviour is that if I turn everything on using CEC with any device (i.e. I turn the device on) it turns on the TV and the receiver and sets it to the correct input. This works fine with all of the other devices. However with the Sky Q box, it turns everything on, but the image is just black. The only way to resolve this black screen is by pulling the power from the box and plugging it back in, which then shows the Sky Q rebooting and it works okay. Not good for the box or the drives though!
I can seen to work around the issue by turning the TV and the reciever on seperately, and then setting the input to Sky Q, and then waking the box from sleep, but this is a real pain as I am trying to make this setup as accessible as possible for my family members.
I've been searching around for a solution, and the only thing I could find is some people saying there is a known issue with the "V2 box" which apparently is the one I have, but this issue was resolved with the "V3 Box". Those threads also seem to be implying there is no simple way to get one of these boxes...
So what's the Sky solution to this hardware issue with the V2 box? Has anyone been able to navigate the it and get a solution?

Denon receivers have a reputation for this, if you plug your SkyQ directly into the TV this usually resolves it. If not then see if Sky can do the, difficult thing, as those boxes are rare, and give you a v3...

Re: Sky Q box giving a black screen on Denon receiver
I could plug the Sky Q box into the TV, but then I need to change the input on the reciever. It's just frustrating, because obviously Sky acknowledged the issue by bringing out the V3 box which fixed it. Feels like there should just be a standard way to request a V3.

It isn't given that a v3 SkyQ box could resolve this common issue with Denon receivers, there are a number of posts both here as well as other AV Forums that are related to connection issues with Denon receivers and the cure has always been to connect directly to the tv.
Have you tried this yet?
