Hmmm, that's an intriguing one. What's the model number of the Toshiba TV? Does it have any form of ambient light detection which automatically dims the display when it's in a dark room?

I had the same. Change the display settings to cinema instead of automatic and it fixes it.

Has anyone found a fix, I have the same issue. It's been working fine for a couple months, and when I'm adjusting the settings for this input, the picture is fine, then when I've finished it fades to almost complete darkness again. No icture settings are fixing it.

I have the same issue, very frustrating. Someone mentioned changing the screen to "Cinima", but I cannot see the option in the menu.

I haven't yet found a permanent fix, however I've noticed it happens whenever I've fallen asleep with the TV on and it's timed out... the fix each time has been to turn it off and on at the wall.

Thanks for your reply. We have found this works sometimes, but it's a pain as it does take a few minutes. I'm sure it has something to do with the settings, but it also happened when we switch the tv on.

I'm sure the sky box has something to do with it. It's only when the sky box is on.
