Sky Q box HDMI port is faulty

We had engineers from sky round tgis morning to upgrade up to fibre broadband and the tv screen kept going blue.

The engineers have advised us we have a faulty hdmi port on our sky q port and we needed to contact sky about it.

Considering they were sky engineers this seemed ridiculous to me.

I have tried on the website the chat bot and the phone but none of those can help me and all advised me to come here so.

If the sky q box or the hdmi cable is disturbed in anyway (if there is a strong breeze or someone walks past) then the screen goes blue and we lose tv.

Can anyone help with this?

It was more likely they were OpenReach and not Sky...  (And cannot assist with TV)

Have you tried removing and reseating the HDMI cables?  Tried a new cable?

Ultimately, you'll have to call Sky and persevere to talk to someone.  If they swap the box remember to remove your viewing card and note all your recordings will be lost.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
