Hi all hope someone can help
I have just purchased a samsung 4K UHD tv
And am having problems setting sky Q up for UHD
The Q Box is connected to my Sony AV Receiver via the ARC HDMI and the receiver is connected to the TV via the ARC Hdmi on TV
My problem is when I go to set up the UHD settings on Q it keeps coming up with the message my tv won't accept UHD
I'm usually pretty good with this sort of thing and I know I'm probably doing something stupid can someone point me in the right direction please

Cheers think I'm sorted now
Connected Q direct to HDMI 1 and via optical to AV receiver
Then ARC from TV to receiver for all other devices
All seems to be working ok

If you're connecting the Q via the receiver then ARC doesn't come into play. (ARC is for the TV to send audio back to the receiver, such as for inbuilt apps or freeview etc)

Q to receiver via HDMI is best as long as the receiver can handle 4K. Did you mean hdmi1 on the TV?
But even if you do connect to the TV direct it should send that audio down the ARC connection too.

Indeed, it cannot send the latest audio formats too... (e.g. Atmos)
