Sky Q ‘Play [programme]’ voice search suddenly stopped working

When I use the command "Play [programme]" my box is clearly 'hearing' what im saying, as the command appears at the top of the screen, but i then get one of two messages. Either "Sorry, we didn't quite get that..." or "Sorry, we can only play programmes you've recorded..."

 

I get this second message even with programmes I have recorded on series link.

Hi @Bill1968   I would try rebooting your broadband router to refresh its DNS followed by the Sky Q Main box once it is up and running again.

Okay, thank you, @MightyQuinn. I'll give this a go, although I have seen similar posts in which the poster says rebooting doesn't help.

Well, the router / Sky reboot seems to have helped, but there's definitely something amiss with the function at the moment. It's still hit and miss in regards to the "Play [programme]" command, and when it does work it's incredibly slow to respond. All the other voice commands appear to be working as normal., but those were not the problem

anyway.
