Hopefully, we can put this to bed soon.
There is one IP database, IP2Location that has the 209.198.128.x & 209.198.129.x addresses registered as Ukraine. These are defined by Starlink as UK addresses.
I have notified IP2Location of the error, which I am told will be updated shortly. The following are UK registered WAN IP addresses used by Starlink.
145.224.64.0/24
145.224.65.0/24
145.224.66.0/24
145.224.67.0/24
145.224.68.0/24
145.224.69.0/24
145.224.70.0/24
145.224.71.0/24
145.224.88.0/24
145.224.89.0/24
145.224.90.0/24
145.224.91.0/24
169.155.244.0/24
169.155.245.0/24
169.155.246.0/24
169.155.247.0/24
209.198.128.0/24
209.198.129.0/24
216.128.2.0/24
216.128.3.0/24
216.128.28.0/24
216.128.29.0/24
However, until this is done, reboot your 'dishy' (not the router) and hopefully you'll pick up a UK WAN IP.

Good to know it's the 209 range 👍 that at least helps when cycling dishy to get a new IP
cheers for the update

We have had this happen this past few weeks. We have a Sky Q and Starlink setup which has worked well for months. We moved the TV recently to the other end of the room and had a new cable fitted. Now we often get Location Check Failure.
I can resolve it by turning off, unplugging and restarting the Q box but it's frankly getting annoying. I can't do that this evening as the box is recording something else. Hoping to find a resolution soon!

I'm having the same issue. My Starlink assigned IP address is 209.198.129.191
Whichever database Sky is using to geocheck clearly thinks this is outside the UK.
Have had no problems for >2yrs until this week.

Look at Chloe's post 3 above yours (which should also have showed up as the answer when you first opened this thread)

Posted by a Sky employeeHappy Friday everyone.
Our Network team have reviewed the IP addresses and a fix should go in for this today, for context there is a middleman IP carrier we need to engage with for topics like these. Let me know over the weekend if you still have issues 🙂

BUMP!
This should now be sorted. I've checked the Location DB in question and this is now showing UK for the 209 ranges.
Happy viewing.

I've just come across this thread as I'm having exact same problem. Installed Starlink in my new build house last month and everything worked fine initially but the last two weeks sky downloads are slow, refusing to download or failing part way through, it's very frustrating. Called sky tonight and the tech was useless. Have tried resetting Starlink but not sure how I actually check my IP address - can anyone point me in the direction of that?

Hi there. Just type "What's my IP?" Into Google and you'll get your WAN IP address
