Sky Q - No Satellite

I live within a new development where there is no Sky Dish

my Sky Q box keeps telling me there is no satellite signal but given that I don't have a dish, how can I resolve this?

@Martynshac

Did you arrange a home move through Sky (it would seem you didn't)?

Have the developers put any restrictions on satellite dishes being erected? Some do.

He/She obviously didn't otherwise they'd have installed a dish, set up your system for you and checked that it works.

@Martynshac

That's somewhat confusing: Q requires either a local satellite dish or a feed from a communal satellite system.  Are you saying it has been working, for live television reception, up to this date?

Is there cabling from the silver screw-thread connectors on the rear of the main Q box to a wall socket or aperture?

hi @Martynshac

Some modern developm,ents are fed by a communal System in which case you will need to contact the service providers.

If you are fed by a communal system & have reset the SKy Q box for any reason then you may have to reset the LNB type - if so let us know & we can give details

Re: Sky Q - No Satellite

Yes it's been working for months. I don't know the technicalities but with new developments they don't install a dish per house but there is a coax type cable from the wall into the box

Re: Sky Q - No Satellite

Should this be SCR or the other option?
