Sky Q Mini Box won't turn off or respond to the remote.

The Sky Q Mini box has a green light on it, and stays green even when I hold down the button with the green light on or press the button.

 

I have put new batteries in the remote. The remote can affect the TV itself - able to turn the TV on/off by holding, and the source button works as well. The issue is (I think) specifically with the Sky Q box's ability to recognise commands by the remote.

I have tried the reset I see mentioned elsewhere: pressing 7 & 9 together, waiting for the red dot to flash, then pressing 1 & 3 together whilst pointing the remote at the TV to try and repair but not getting anywhere. Furthermore, since I have done this the remote no longer seems to be successfully operating the TV itself (holding down the power button no longer turning the TV itself on or off).

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi @kirangathani 

Have you tried rebooting the mini 

To reboot press Standby on your mini remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your mini box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)
note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

When you pressed 7 & 9 on the remote,   this removed it's Bluetooth connection to the mini.

When the mine is back on after the reboot try completly resetting your mini Bluetooth remote again.

Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the mini box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.
