Since Monday our Sky Q box is reporting a partial loss of satellite signal.
Weirdly Terrestrial style channels such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4 are all working fine with live TV, as is Sky News and BBC News.
Yet if I try to watch Sky Atlantic, Dave, Sky Arts / Cinema, etc we get the error message Satellite Signal Lost. We can download programs from these channels so we still have access to them.
I've been through the Help steps, and have booked in an engineer visit but we couldn't get one until after the Bank Holiday so wondered if anyone had any ideas we could try before then?

Those aren't terrestrial channels if you are selecting them in the Sky EPG, but they will have different tuning which isn't currently affected by what's almost certainly a slight dish misalignment.

Downloads arrive online, not over the satellite dish.

Only someone suitably skilled and equipped with a satellite signal meter can realign a dish: you could choose to pay a local independent installer for faster attendance.

Thanks Tim.
I get that all the channels are coming through the satellite, which is why I specified 'Terrestrial style'.. it's odd that it sends some through and not others so I wondered whether anyone else had experienced this.
I also wanted to specify that I do still have access to the channels via downloads so it wasn't a problem with our package.
I'll wait for the Sky engineer and see what they say. The dish is in a neighbour's garden, I wonder whether they've caught it somehow and moved it...

A message displaying ”no signal” tends to be from your TV.
Any message displaying “no satellite signal” relates to your Sky Q box, so firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check the troubleshooting in this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment and persevere on the phone.
If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise with you building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.
Note: A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels.

The issue turned out to be with the wiring from the dish to the wall socket.
An engineer came and replaced it and the box worked again.
