Had Sky Q installed a few days ago and almost instantly noticed lip sync issues.
My setup is Philips TV 58PUS8545, with Sky Q plugged in via HDMI and Sonos Beam connected via HDMI to the TV. I've had this setup (TV @ Beam) for around 18 months and never noticed any lip sync issues with Apple TV 4K, PS5, or Virgin Media boxes.
I've tried fiddling around with settings on the TV and on Sky Q. Setting audio out on Sky Q to 'Normal' pretty much removes the issue, but this then looses the ability to receive DD 5.1 when watching UHD. I'd gone with Sky Q specificallly to watch and record the F1 in UHD, so I'm debating cancelling if I can't get it resolved.
I know from Googling there's boxes you can buy that cost £200 to help resolve, but tbh not interested in spending that kinda money to fix an issue that shouldn't be there.
I've ordered the optical adaptor from Sonos to see if plugging that directly into the optical out on the TV helps.
Any other suggestions or ideas? Thanks.

(I could never get reliable sync connecting Q straight to TV)

I could wire direct to Q with optical, but means loose ability to use Sonos with any other device and or app on the TV.

Ok, just googled and see the beam only has 1 HDMI.
As you can only use ARC then you may be stuck. The TV's image processing options may introduce a delay.

So I've gone in and turned off every image processing option under advanced settings. This included colour enhancement, contrast enhancement, HDR upscaling, dynamic contrast, picture clean, and motion styles.
This has actually improved the lip sync issue. I'm confused why I've had these settings on before and never encountered an issue with lip sync. Why does is cause issues with Sky Q?

The issue is with Sky Sports F1 in general and is not a problem with the UHD side.
I use a Sony Android TV with a Bose Soundbar 900 which has eARC Audio Sync and every channel and device is perfect apart from Sky Sports F1 when it is live. My guess is your Philips TV and Sonos will also be using eARC which will automatically synchronise the video and audio together which is why you haven't seen this problem until now.
Everything on Sky Sports F1 is fine including Formula 2 live. Only when Formula 1 is shown live, this is when Sky decide to master their own mix which seems to drop the Dolby feed around half a second sometimes behind the visual and there is nothing you can do. I've reported it to Sky multiple times and they claim they can't reproduce the issue on their side or blame the F1 World Feed. However, if you Google or Twitter the issue, everyone appears to have problems with Sky Sports F1.
The new intro actually allows you to gauge how far behind the audio feed is because at the end of the intro when it shows the F1 logo, the music should kick back in as the logo zooms in but on Sky Sports F1, this doesn't happen live unless you watch the replay.
I wouldn't bother purchasing adapters or boxes. As it is an issue with the channel, you will spend all your time trying to fix the issue for one channel which is going to throw everything else out of sync. I heard Sky Glass doesn't have the problem.

I don't and I'm really sensitive to lip sync issues.

I have a Samsung TV with a Sonos Arc.
I have very minimal lipsync issues for most content from either Q or the TV apps.
First you need to determine if the Video is leading or lagging the audio.
If Video is lagging this can be trimmed out using settings on the Q box.
If the Video is leading then there are no adjsutements.
The Samsung has a audio passthrough mode that definitely helps by having no processing delays in the TV. Does the Philips have something similar?
For most of my content I estimate a Video lead of about <50ms
I have had a Video lag on some TV apps of 100ms (e.g Prime)

I have the Philips 8204 and also have lip sync issues, mostly noticed on Sky News, but also observed on UHD content also.
My Philips set is sending audio via ARC to a AV receiver. I set the audio settings to
Digital out format = Multichannel (bypass)
Digital out delay = Bypass
and that fixes the issues, however, switching input to another source or turning sky q off then back on causes the setting on delay to be set to "off" (although still shows as "Bypass") and I have to reset it to "Bypass" to fix lip sync.
I'm trying to work out how to fix this myself at the moment, and not sure if related to recent skyQ update.

I had a Philips 58PUS8535 and I had the lip sync issue with SKY+ HD. There should be a menu setting for HDMI Arc or AV SYNC. I can't reme, ber where it was but you need to set the AV Sync to pass through every time you switch on the SKY Box. The Passthrough option will show enabled but you will have to change the av sync / HDMI Sync to something other than passthrough because it seems to disable itself whenever you change to SKY and then back to passthrough which fixed it for me

I don't either. I watched the race this morning with no AV Sync problems. I am using a Cheap HDMI 2.0 Switch with my Homatics Box R 4K and SKY Q going into the HDMI Switch. I have a 0.5m HDMI2.1 cable going from the switch to my SKY Q box , Certified genuine2 meter HDMI 2.1 cable going to my Lytmi HDMI Sync Box and the HDMI2.0 cable that came with my Lytmi kit going into my tv. I used HDMI ARC from my TV to my SONY STR DN-1020 with no AV Sync issues. My TV is an LG 50UQ70006

I had a Philips 58PUS8535 and I had to go to the Digital out Delay and chane it from bypass to the setting above it and back to bypass every time I turned on my SKY+ HD box. It seemed like when I switched hdmi sources the Digital out delay switched off bypass mode every time and I had to reenable it whenever I switched HDMI source. Otherwise the AV Sync issue happened every time with every HDMI Source. It was barely noticable with my PS4 Pro and my Panasonic UB820 but it was very noticable with SKY. Re-enabling Bypass always fixed the problem for me but it may be different for you and the Original Poster.

I agree. The Quali and Race were spot on this week, but usually they have lip-sync issues unless they've tightened it up with the UHD channel being permanent.
As I mentioned in my post, Formula 2 and replays are usually spot on. Which means it's a programming problem, not a hardware problem. My Sony TV is connected to my receiver through an eARC connection.
eARC doesn't allow you to adjust any sync options, the two talk to each other and sort it out automatically and because of this, everything is spot on from Sky Q, Apple TV, Xbox, except for Sky Sports F1. But this week, it seemed fine when broadcasting the F1.

I had a Sky Engineer come out to take a look. As expected, there was nothing they could do to resolve. They said they had seen this previously with Sonos and Sky Q.
I've had to use the optical adaptor and an optical switch to sort out the lip sync issues. Take the optical out from the Sky Q box and the optical out from the TV into the switcher and the connect the Sonos Beam up via optical. This way I can still use the Sonos Beam with other content on the TV (PS5 etc) but also have the optical from the Sky Q.
It's frustrating that I've had to do this, as it cost around £50 in cables and adaptors. I've been luck that I've been able to do this, as otherwise would have had to purchase one of the Fury HDMI splitters at a much higher cost.
