Purchased a G2 a couple of weeks ago and have experienced this exact same issue with my Sky Q box. I thought it might have been related to the fact that I was connecting by HDR via my soundbar but perhaps not. So is the fix here to contact LG as it's incredibly annoying.

Software 04.40.90.
Really struggling to use Sky Q this week since last software update (although that could be a coincidence).
Any solutions advice appreciated.

I too am having an intermittent problem with connection of my Sky Q Box to my LG OLED TV. This will not allow me to record my software version as it has been repeated to many times but it is the same as PAUL333333

Posted by a Sky employeeHi all,
Thanks again for your contribution to this thread. We've collated your feedback to investigate, however are struggling to reproduce this issue with LG. We have been told a new software update is due in the coming weeks (date is TBC).
I apologise for this, I would recommend contacting LG directly to discuss this so they can look to resolve this on a case by case basis for the moment. If there are any changes or advances your fellow LG users on this thread may benefit from, please also let us know.
Thanks,

I have had the people who installed my LG TV check this and after discussions with LG they have come back and said that the problem is a Sky Q box one. This really needs to be dealt with urgently as it is a really annoying and frustrating issue. I am a 76 year old disabled user and struggle to get down on the floor to unplug everything, wait then plug it all back in again andx somehow get back on my feet.

So I have just bought the G3 and GX soundbar
got Sky Q UHD etc tec
Belkin Braided 8k hdmi cable from sky to TV
in the mornings when i turn on the TV with the Sky remote it turns on the TV/Soundbar and sky box but comes up saying no input detected. then have to go down and unplug and replug the hdmi.
softwatre on both are all up to date.
whats peoples workarounds for this as of now? turning tv on with LG remote, then pressing the home button on sky remote?

I have the same issue.
I switch off the TV and Sky Q at the mains, un-plug them, give it a minute and then switch everything back on.
This usually sorts it.
It is happening a few times a week now and is frustrating.
