I have a new LG TV that is connected to my Sky Q box. every so often when I turn on my TV (Using the SKY button) the TV cant find a connection with the box. I have to unplug the HDMI from behind my Sky box and plug it back in. The TV then finds the box. When I use other devices on HDMI this is not an issue. It only happens with my Sky box.
I have updated firmware on my TV so it is running the latest software update.

Posted by a Sky employeeHi all,
Thanks again for your contribution to this thread. We've collated your feedback to investigate, however are struggling to reproduce this issue with LG. We have been told a new software update is due in the coming weeks (date is TBC).
I apologise for this, I would recommend contacting LG directly to discuss this so they can look to resolve this on a case by case basis for the moment. If there are any changes or advances your fellow LG users on this thread may benefit from, please also let us know.
Thanks,

I raised the issue with LG...they called me and after discussing the issue said there is a fault with my TV that they would come out and fix by replacing a component.
I have the brand new G3, so not very imopressed! But at least they are going to fix it.

@Dippydoo if memory serves me right when the C2's came out and possible the G2's there was a problem with later made models that used a slightly different component, LG got round that by updating the firmware but it caused a lot of problems on this forum with Sky being blamed until LG owned up to this 😁 wonder if something similiar is happening here

Hi. I'm having the same issue with my new G3 with SkyQ. Has LG replaced the component and has this eliminated the problem?

@Achey30 this was in 2022 with the C2's and G2's from what i remember a firmware update solved the problem whether this is a similiar problem or not I have no idea

Hi, having the same issue and my LG C3 48" TV is days old. Was their a contact for LG or was it the generic number?

I raised a support issue on lg website...same place you register new products. LG rang me and admitted there was a fault that needed a hardware change.
