Re: Sky Q HDMI connection dropping with LG OLED TV

I would recommend you turn OFF the ‘Quick Start+’ option on the LG TV. It is enabled by default. On the newer models this can be found under ‘General / System / Additional Settings’. Then switch off the TV, wait for a short time and switch the TV back on. Keep Quick Start disabled. This should resolve the issue.

Re: Sky Q HDMI connection dropping with LG OLED TV

There has been recent updates to both the TV and SkyQ which appears to have cured the problem.

The connection to Sky takes longer but works.

Having similar problems with the new LG G5 77,seemed to start after the latest 67 update. Turned off Quick start and now works fine, just takes an extra few seconds to boot  up.. Great help, thank you.. 👍🏻

It will still happen I'm afraid I've had quick start off from the beginning the only sure way is to use the LG remote to turn tv and box on and off.
