i've not had the problem for weeks so perhaps a software update has fixed it...anyone else had it recently?
LG are out tomorrow to change hardware...not sure its necessary but will interogate the engineer on what and why and post feedback on this thread

That's probably your LG's software version. You need to look for the software version on your Q box.

Oh joy. Ive got a LG C3 65 coming tomorrow.. To be fair I get HDMI issues on my current 7 year old Samsung with Sky now and have done for years.

Hi,
i did a factory reset on Sky Q 2TB BOX,
on LG C3 65 inch TV,
and also reset LG Sounbar,
powered everything off, connected all HDMI leads and turned everything back on,
the TV found everything and has stayed on (touch wood) no more dropouts from Sky Q.
not sure if it works for everyone, but its sorted out my issue.

Been getting this on and of since I got the HDR Qbox as a replacement a few months back.
LG OLED55B8SLC with Software 05.50.15
I find if the tv is turned on first and allowed time to cycle through on screen apps before the Q box is turned on the issue happens less.

LG third party came and changed the main board today. Amazing how little is inside these tvs.
i have a new issue...sky q uhd downloaded content will only play in hd. It all worked in uhd last night.
uhd live tv works.

everything checked and rechecked and reset and updated.
LG support due to ring me back.....

If I'm understanding you correctly you have UHD content downloaded but it's playing back as HD? That must be the TV down scaling the content? Check your TV settings.

The "main" board was changed. I'm not getting more HDMI dropouts than i had before.
I've also got lipsync issues (sky q, G3, Sonos Arc). BBC 1 and ITV are close but not acceptable, Sky news, Talk TV, GB News are way off (all HD but the latter are not as good pics as BBC/ITV)
Ive raised another fault with LG (they closed the first without checking the issue was fixed.
Beginning to think the G3 was a bad purchase.
