Sky Q - Getting Message ‘ sorry this item is no longer available

I have two programs (maybe a coincidence but both Scottish TV programs). When I try  to delete them off Sky I get the message 'sorry this item is no longer available'.

I think you are experiencing something we have seen before with some ITV programmes.

 

ITV  in England & Wales have occasionally different policies to STV in Scotland regarding new series

 

When ITV releases all episodes of a new series on ITV X it doesn't always make all episodes available on SKY Q - only the ones it has already broadcast on ITV itself.

 

However, STV makes all episodes available for these series on SKY Q at the start of the Series.

 

SLKY Q can then get confused when you are watching via catch up/on demand and thinks the next episode is available, when in England it is noy, it tries to download the STV next episode which - as the message says it is not availble.

 

 

You probably haven't actually got this episode to delete - check the full episode description  - the last episode availble via SKY Q for ITV regions is S10 #5 (aired last Friday) whereas the thumbnail & description showing in your screenshot is for #6 not due to air till Friday

 

Edit : P.S. Best to always list the episodes and use the buttons below the episodes to delete as the buttons above can point to these 'nect' episodes

On my Sky Q box 'continue recordings' I have 2 thumbnails that when I click on them give me a message that 'sorry, this item is no longer available'. How do I remove these thumbnails?

Been having the same issue as this for the past week or so, I have requested & recieved a new SkyQ box, still the same issue perists. I have spoken to Sky support 5 times, various attempts at fixing it, still the problem perists. The only way I have found to "fix" it is to turn off the main box from then wall, then wait for it to boot back up. A real pain especially with 2 young kids, one of which now knows how to operate the Sky remote! Please someone help!?

If the entries are  for the scenario I mention in my reply, marked as an answer I am not sure you can.

 

I currently have 2 such enties for New:After the Flood & Trigger Point that I have recorded & watched the latest ITV versions for - the thumbnails in the Continue section both have an STV logo which confirms to me it is this quirk.

 

The continue watching is well known by the regulars here for having such inconsistencies and we always advise using this section with great caution - I rarely use it  

 

@Daze1  If you are referring to  problems with the Continue section then I refer you to my para. above about the unreliability of the Continue sectiion
