Sky Q Failing to download

Sky Q failing to download programmes and not able to pause/rewind live tv.  If I switch off at the plug and leave for 30-60seconds, it then works for a while.  But then after a couple of hours it's back to the same issue.  
anyone else had this and know the reason or how to fix it?

Likely to be a failing hard disk.
