Sky Q Box Fan going constantly and won't record until the Unit is recorded.

When I return to the house, the Sky Q Box is inevitably going and no recording has taken place. In order to restore the green light, I have to disconnect from the mains and then reconnect. I am having to do this almost daily and it invariably doesn't record when I am out, which rather defeats the purpose! Of course no number available to ring Sky and their App is useless to deal with this. Want a new box, but of course they are virtually impossible to contact 'in person's.
