Sky Q. Blue talk button not working for months

The blue sky talk button does not work. It just says , sorry we didn't get that, please hold the button and try again. It's been like this on and off for ages but now it does it all the time. I have switched both router and box off and on again, no difference. Any ideas please

I've moved your post to the Sky Q board.

 

The first thing you can do is check that the voice button isn't restricted by dirt or a piece of fluff stuck underneath it, then check the actual microphone is not blocked or restricted. It's a small hole in the centre of the remote below the Sky button.


After then checking the basics, ie; fresh batteries, re-pairing etc if your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some more troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a replacement (I’m not sure if this is available to customers in the Republic of Ireland).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer / larger supermarket. If you do that as well as the above you’ll have a spare.

@Paisley2017 have you tried rebooting your broadband router then your Q box
