Sky Q 2Tb losing Sky broadband connection

My sky box keeps losing its Wi-Fi connection. It is 92% full, and I was advised that if I reduce my storage to about 80% it will stop this from happening. Does anyone know if this is correct? 

If so what's the point of having such a large capacity?
