Hi @James+Bub 

No guarantee as to which Q box you will get when upgrading to Sky Q.

If you take the optional UltraHD pack you should get a compatible UHD/HDR box.

In this respect a 1 TB box or a 2 TB is available.

You can always try requesting a 2TB version and see what Sky say

The 1TB UHD/HDR has been the default hardware since late 2019 and is the only option when ordering online.

Sky will also have some stock of returned 2TB UHD hardware, but the v1 ('Q Silver') is not capable of HDR.

There may or may not be 'new' v3 2TB units available by phone.

THe others have kindly answered your specific question but as you are considering moving from SKY HD to SKY Q then I though you might find some notes I have put togther useful - there is a mention of the 'default' offering when upgrading not alsways being UHD

You also probably need to specify if you want an HDR box rather than just UHD
