Sky Q 2TB box needs rebooting every day.

My SKY Q box was replaced with recently and it has an external power brick as opposed to the previous box where power went direct to the box. It requires rebooting on a regular basis as it doesn't wake or power on. 

 

This was something i'd just decided to live with previously (probably have it about 3-4 months) but now we've moved to a new house and the box is behind a wall mounted tv and difficult to get to, it's becoming a real pain.

Hi @Darren+Denn SKYQ main boxes are designed to expell any internal heat through the body of the unit, so should be placed in a well vented area, overheating may be the problem of the unit not responding to the remote when trying to activate it?

You may also have a problem with the remote eg batteries?

this was occurring well before it was hidden behind the tv, the behaviour was seen for 3-4 months in a better ventilated area

What did Sky say when you contacted them?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
