Sky Mini Q picture freezes, slow to change channel

I have Sky Q and 2 X Mini's, about 2 years old.  1 of the mini's is the issue after about 3 mins of watching sky channel's

  • pictures freeze
  • wont change channel

The wifi connection seems ok as can watch Netflix/Prime via the Smart TV app's with no issue.  I have unplugged the mini Q and left it off power for 8+ hours but when plugged back in and rebooted  after about 5 mins the same "stuttering" of picture and inability to switch channels happens.

 

Any suggestions or is it a "long wait" call to Sky?  Thanks

Hi @NaW17 

Your WiFi Network is irrelevant to mini use unless you are on Sky Broadband.   On 3rd party broadband minis connect to WiFi generated by the main Q box.

 

You could try swapping the two minis around and see if the issue is with a oarticukar mini or it's location.

Thanks to oldfella for teh comment.  My broadband is from SKY aswell and as I mentioned the Apps on the Smart TV work fine.  My view is the mini Q has a fault.  Does anyone know how to log a fault call with Sky?

@NaW17 Have you tried @oldfella suggestion of swapping the mini boxes over to see if it's the location or the box ?  You can contact Sky by phone by dialling 150 if Sky is your phone provider or by following the link below

Have you tried resetting the network connection on the affected Mini and going through the process of reconnecting the Mini to your Main Q box?
