My setup:
- Sky broadband (Fiber to house - Great speed!)
- Main Sky Q box with Ethernet connection
- Sky Q mini lounge and upstairs (No booster required)
- I also have a Deco X60 on a separate SSID for wifi around the house
All the above works great.
Whats New:
- Garden room about 100ft from the main Sky Q box
- Cat6 Ethernet running from Hub to Garden room
- Ethernet connection into Labtop with great speed
The Issue:
- I can not get the Sky mini box in the garden room to connect to the Sky Q box
- If the garden room Mini is connected to the ethernet cable, which is the same network as main Q box it still can not connect.
- Worse, once the mini is connected to Ethernet, it seems to "knock out" the other sky boxes.
- Knock out meaning, they lose connect to the network, requiring a reset. They sometime reconnect but needs multiple attempts and then fails again the following day. (Nightmare)
I know that the Sky Q mian box creates its own wifi , but I can not boost that 100ft.
Is there any guidance on how to get this configuration to work, or an I stuck with Boosters up he guarden.
I got this working before I upgraded the Sky Broadband hub to the latest MAX, so have Sky brought in something here to block this?
