I had a new Mini box delivered for the second room. It worked for a short while and then starting changing to the home page without any intervention or pressing off any button on the remote. I called Sky and they sent a replacement. The second Unit does exactly the same. I have a new Sony Bravia 55 Inch TV which had the original old minibox attached that died after many years of use and worked fine until its demise. I have carried out Firmware updates both on the TV and the Sky minibox, but it randomly reverts back to HOME and its like the multiple presses of the Home button are occuring on the mini box remote. I have changed and switched of the 2.4GHz setting and just left it at 5G, I have even connected (hardwired into my LAN) but its still doing this. The TV when watching any other channel does not change. Anyone have any idea what is going on? tested the box using my Dell monitor and it works and the TV by itself works fine - Where is the SONY Bravia and SKY Mini box clash? Also finalu removed all the remotes from the room and it still happens! ARGGG!! going crazy troubleshooting this issue!

It's a brand new box and control plus I have taken the batteries out of it to see if it a dodgy control but it still does it. I did a SW update and it seems to have stopped but 3 days later it started doing it again. It's like the home button is being selected all the time. Unit also switches it self back in when standby mode!

The main Q box is another room and is working perfectly fine.

Have you done a reset on the other remote to make sure it's bluetooth synced to that box in the other room?

Actually I though of that and turned off the Bluetooth for the SONY TV thinking the two maybe clashing. But it still does the "HOME" jump periodically. I thought the controls are supposed to be infrared and not Bluetooth. I will check if there are Bluetooth setting for the control of the Minibox. By the way the problem occurs even if the Main Q box is in Standby mode in the other room.
Thanks - I will try the reset in the other room and see how that gets on.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreBoth the mini and Q use bluetooth which can only be paired to one box but can use IR to any box and it's done transparently, you don't get to control it other than when you do a reset of the remote with the 7&9 then 1&3 keys which pairs the remote to a box.
So if the remote in the other room is not being used, and doesn't have a stuck button, it's not going to be the cuplrit.
