Sky HD to Sky Q

I currently have an old Sky + HD box but will be migrated onto Sky Q. 
Will the new Q box work via the existing dish and the 2 coax cables?

Or will some additional work be required?

Yes, providing they're serviceable your existing cables and dush will be used. The LNB on the arm of the dish will be changed to suit Sky Q
