Sky HD box to Sky Q or Stream

I currently have an HD+ box, I've had emails offering and upgrade to Sky Q. Rang Sky who said Q will be going and Stream is my best option.  I like to record and I see with Stream this can't be done. Are they trying to get me to change to Stream fir any particular reason?

Also I have basic broadband and the contract expires soon.  They said full fibre is my best option as it also available in my area. Can I not have a normal broadband hub for now? 

I feel I'm being pushed into things I don't know much about. Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks

You don't have to sign up to Sky Stream. Sky Q will be around probably until the end of the decade.

You probably should get the full fibre internet as it will be a big upgrade on FTTC. 

However, I would resist the streaming service unless the price is right. They still sell Sky Q, they're just pretending not to.
