Back again....I have had to purchase new TV for kitchen as did not have upto date connections. Sky technician had alreday set-up Sky Q mini ready for the new TV. Now when I have set-up new TV I have managed to get Sky working fine......but.....I have managed to get both hand sets working in part. The Sky handset appears to work correctly appart from switching the TV on/off & volume control!! So have to use TV handset for switching on/off & volume. So I have gone wrong somewhere in setting-up new TV for the Sky handset. Is anyone able to help as do not want to mess-up what I've done already.

Hi @AlanG13
With the Q box on with green led try resetting your problem Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Thank you for coming back so promptly. I carried out your instructions but they were not successful. Firstly they did not have the model number on their system, even thou' I put in the correct details. It said it did not support this TV & would have to use both handsets, which seems a bit strange as it is 2024 model!

Yes......that seems to have sorted it by using 'Other Brand'. There were 40 options, but it was sorted on about option 12. Thank you for your help, hopefully that's it for now.

Now this is getting frustrating.......... It appears now I can control volume on the sky handset, but not able to turn on/off, so still having to use TV hanset for that. Do I go thro' the same procedure as you suggested for the volume, or do you have any more ideas, as seems a long process to have to find both volume & on/off on the same option? Thank you.

Hi @AlanG13
Assume you aware that you have to use a long press (about 2 - 3 secs) to switch the tv set on or off?
If you are you need to try the other All brands settings.

Yes, that works. It was just me not holding on/off button for the 2/3 secs. Now the hard work comes.....showing my good lady wife how to use the new handset, we do have the instruction sheet.
Thank you again.

Hi @AlanG13
Just so you are aware.
Provided that HDMI control is turn on in the Q box and the TV; when you turn on the Q box by taking it out of standby the TV set should also come on. Unfortunately when you turn off the Q box it does not turn off the TV set. However the latest Q software now has the feature when the TV set is turned off it will turn off the Q box.
So in short the best practice if you want both devices to switch on/off together is as follows:-
Switch on the Q box with a short press on the Q remote. This will then also switch the TV on by HDMI control.
Switch off the TV set using a long press on the Q remote. This will then switch off the Q box.
