Software update on Sky Q box has completed with a message saying set PIn but if you press OK on remote it doesn't move to set pin . I've gone into settings and reset pin but message still on screen . How can I get rid of it?

There hasn't been any Sky software update that requires you to set a PIN, it may be something coming from your TV rather than the Sky box. Try using your TV's original remote to clear the message.

Message won't go if we use TV remote rather than sky remote. TV won't turn off either.

1) Press 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds (This resets/clears the remote)
2) Press 1 and 3 together for three seconds (Bluetooth mode). A 'connected' message should appear on your screen: press continue and it's all done.
