Series links recording everything there's ever been!

Hi new to skyq. When I set a series link it records everything since the beginning of time, how can I tell it just to record new episodes?

There was a setting on virgin where you could tell it just to record new or record repeats too . Thanks

@Davecl66 what channel is this on as the series links are the responsibility of the broadcasting channels to link to the correct episodes etc most channels get the series links right but some have a habit of messing them up

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Sky Q 2 TB (Silver)Box, 2 Mini boxes since June 2016, all connected by wifi
Sky Broadband Hub/SR203, Sky Ultrafast broadband
Ultimate on Demand, Q Experience/UHD, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema
LG 49SJ 810 V UHD TV, Google Pixel 7 Pro mobile

I have this issue too. It didn't used to do it, but now it records every episode shown, even repeats and it doesn't seem to worry about what channel shows it, so I end up with the same episode from several channels. (ie channel 4 and Dave or BBC and Drama for example)
