Hi @Doesnotwork
First make sure that the HDMI cable is correctly located at boths.
With the Q box and TV off best to completely remove the cable and then refit it.

Is the sky box plugged directly into the TV?

The sky box and mini are plugged directly into the tv via hdmi.
I have boosters in the house so they connect to those or direct to the router via wifi.
i have now changed the hdmi on tne main box . This is not easy as all cables etc are embedded within the wall
the change has helped and the black screen gone for now.
anotjer option will be to connect via Ethernet to the boosters

It's failing again just turning the screen on and off to a black screen.

Hi @Doesnotwork
Who is your Broadband supplier and exactly what are your boosters?

Bt, I have bt discs around the house. I have 17 connections no issue with any of them. It is never broadband I get aero drop out and it has been a superb service for over 10 years. Customer support all based in the UK.
I had the engineer out for the 3rd time plus one no show.
changed the main Q box for the second time which appears to work much better. No issue with black screen.
as usual I have found it is poor product from sky and faulty equipment .
