My neighbour does not have any signal from his Sky dish (Sky TV) since the scaffolding went up for my re-roof. My neighbour's Sky dish (The dish part) goes slightly over in to my property. The scaffolding goes over in to their property a bit so it is safe for the roofers. My roofer has asked the scaffolders to come back tomorrow to see if the scaffolding can be adjusted to resolve the issue whilst keeping it safe for the roofers.
At the momment they are just watching recorded TV programmes.
Can anyone advise which part of the dish receives the signal and from the photos what part of the scaffolding is likely to be blocking the signal? Is there a solution without having to get Sky out to move the dish?
Thank you.

hi @Petal1
The whole of the grey back part of the dish(the reflector) must be able to 'see' the Satellite & reflect the signals back to the electronic bit at the end of the arm (known as the LNB) - this last bit being a big problem in the images you posted
The signals from the Satellite are very weak so whilst in some areas a very small bit of the dish not getting a signal may be OK . really the whole dish should be clear
BTW you may also need to be aware that after a period of time without a signal from the Satellite your neighbours box will also stop for all other features such as recordings and streaming apps (as it relies on a periodic 'keep alive' signal delivered via Satellite)

Re: Scaffolding blocking neighbour's Sky dish signal
You're probably best off getting your neighbour to arrange for the dish to be moved so that it is entirely on their property and has clear line of sight to the satellite.
You could perhaps offer to pay the £65 call out charge for Sky to do this, seeing as it's your scaffolding which is causing the problem?
