Hi @Plee217 

try rebooting your Q box.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

keeps happening to my box nearly everyday is there a long term fix?

This keeps happening to me also, needa the power removed from the sky stream puck and then when it boots up agian it will work....

 

Very annoying, stream seem to have many more issues than Sky Q.

I are trying to change my email address on Sky Q but keeps saying sorry, we're having a technical problem.I have tried for days but with no luck. Please help

Up to 5 mins to return after all that hassle? Your answer was over 2 years ago and still the same issues in September 2025. Time to switch from Sky Glass, really has been a big disappointment on so many levels.

The advice from @oldfella was 2 years ago but is still the correct method of rebooting a Sky Q box. If you have a Glass TV you perhaps need to look on the Glass board.
