Re: SKy Q change from 1TB to 2TB box

Ok thank you.

would I just need to call them to try get a newer box?

I want a 2nd mini at the same time, they sent me one as part of me returning and taking out multi room. No point getting a 2nd mini if I can't use them both at the same time.

Yes: they'll probably want to charge a fee, so I'd suggest you negotiate based on the age of that hardware, its lack of HDR support and your intended Mini use.

I edited the table to remove the Mini, as that wasn't the subject of the original post.

Re: SKy Q change from 1TB to 2TB box

I found Timmy's reply about disc size very helpful. My hardware version is 32B206, but the table shows that it could be 1TB or 2TB with an asterisk at the end. I wasn't sure what the asterisk refers to so still not sure what size my disc is. Could anybody enlighten me?

Hi @DaiapGymru   The following link explains, including how to find if you have a 1TB or 2TB box.

Got it thanks MQ, it's a 1TB box. Who'd have thought you'd find this under the music section?!

Re: SKy Q change from 1TB to 2TB box

I had the same so I called them yesterday 13/5 and there is a deal atm for a free 2tb sky q box.

Re: SKy Q change from 1TB to 2TB box

Did you seriously get a free 2TB box 2 weeks ago? I've just called them to try and get them to upgrade my ancient 1st gen 1tb box which I should never have received last August in my opinion.  And they want £99.  No offers. No discussion. I'm fuming.

Re: SKy Q change from 1TB to 2TB box

Yes I did, I called with a query which resulted in needing a 2tb Q box, the agent did a search and found a deal with a free box.

Re: SKy Q change from 1TB to 2TB box

Wow.  Ok.  I may need to ring them back and try my luck again before I lodge a complaint.
What was the query resulting in you needing a 2TB box if I might ask?

I can't really see the basis of a complaint.

Re: SKy Q change from 1TB to 2TB box

You don't have enough information from what I've given about my situation to form an opinion. Bit that's fine.  It's obviously not that someone got an offer 2 weeks ago why can't I have it. Bit more to it than that.
