SKY + box replacement with SKY Q

If I replace SKY + Box with SKY Q do I lose all my SKY+ recordings concerts etc ?

The Hard Disk is not intended for long term archiving.  The same applies to Q...

 

The Sky+ boxes do allow certain material to be archived off the box locally, such as a VHS recorder.

Yes, although purchased films etc will be retrievable. 

will cc in one of the Superusers who has compiled a help guide for those thinking of transitioning from Plus to Q which may provide something you hadn't considered cc

I guess they assume users are aware that storage is only on the local hardware drive.

 

Note that you'd also lose the content if the Sky+ box fails and when the platform finally becomes obsolete (probably in a few years time)

As @Daniel0210 says, you may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q
