SKY Q mini box, blue screen says no video signal

SKY Q mini box in bedroom doesnt seem to be working. Got blue screen that says NO VIDEO SIGNAL. Tried rebooting & resetting mini box, main router, booster & main SKY Q box but still not working. Everything else works ok

Hi @jash58 

What colour is the led on the front right of the mini box?

If it is still amber have you tried pressing the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the Q box.

If this turns the Q box on
With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair to TV.

If the led is green then, first make sure that the TV is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the Q box is connected.

Then with the Q box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the Q box remote control.

This will change the Q box to standard resolution which will work for all TV’s.

The LED is green on the minibox

just to clarify, the Home 1080 Home. Is that to be done on the main Q box or the mini box?

On the mini box @jash58 

First make sure that the Television set is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the min box is connected.
Then with the mini box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the mini box remote control.

This will change the Q box to standard resolution which will work for all TV’s.

Thanks for your help. Tried this & managed to get screen up & running. Now saying no internet signal. Tried all suggestions on the forum to get it sorted but have had to resort to booking an Engineer

Hi @jash58 

Have you tried

First try rebooting the main Q box and then when this is completely back up and running reboot the mini.
To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Reboot the mini as above.
If the mini still does not connect reliably try a Network Reset on the mini.
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).

If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button.
