A couple of days ago, SKYQ main box dropped its connection with the router which is ethernet connected. I reset the router & the main box & got this back, however ever since, I have not been able to get a stable connection on the mini boxes, go through the reconnection to the main box & then the internet via wi fi & get the mini boxes up & running for all of 2 minutes & they drop out again.
Tried rebooting the router, tried rebooting SKY but nothing is helping.
So essentially cannot use the wi fi enabled mini box ib bedroom.
Hubby is disabled & spends a lot of time in bed & is now unablle to watch the TV.
Any assistance would be appreciated to get this sorted.
Do I need to get an engineer out to look at it?

Did everything as per onscreen instructions which usually works, but this time does keep a stable connection. Tried online chat to no avail. Rang & spoke to Carol on Sky Accesibility team & she talked me through everything. Essentially, turn everything off & turn on in following order,
1. Router
2. SKY Q box & check in settings that status of all 4 items is ticked.
3. 1st booster box & WPS Sync to router
4. 2nd booster box & WPS Sync to 1st booster
5. Mini box & sync to 2nd booster. Then check settings to ensure connection is resumed.
6. Same for 2nd & 3rd Mini Box.
Carol stayed on line while I chopped & changed channels for over 15 minutes to ensure everything was stable & asked me to turn mini box on again this afternoon to ensure it picks up first time, which I have yet to do.
Hope above checklist will help other people going through similar problems.

Find out moreHi @Woodturner In the following order:- Reboot your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on, then do the same with any Mini boxes?

Tried that. Works for all of 2 minutes & then mini boxes loose connection again. Done it time after time & still having same problem.

Hi @Woodturner
Have you carried out a Network reset on the mini box?
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).
If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box

Yes done all that & it connects but then drops out 2 minutes later. WiFi is very good & extremely stable as use it for phones & tablets with no problem

Its TALKTALK, but nothing wrong with signal as can get wi fi on tablet & mobile phones & also use wi fi for laptop & no problems there and it is not overloaded either.

The thing is @Woodturner
that the mini if connecting by WiFi will only connect to the Q WiFi mesh generated by your Q box. It will not connect to your Talk talk network.
Assume you haven't switched the main Q box WiFi off (as you are connecting it by Ethernet)?
Exactly how are you carrying out the Network reset on your minis?

Would have helped in the diagnosis if you had mentioned you also had two Q WiFi boosters

This is also happening to me. Sky kind connects to sky q box after a reset. Both Internet and sky q main box connect and can watch TV etc... but then drop out after a few minutes.
Very annoying.
WiFi switched off at main box as connected by ethernet... all other Internet (incl. Main q box) working fine. Just the sky mini.
