SKY Q MINI BOX WONT WORK ON SAMSUNG TV

Hi everyone. I've got a really strange issue. I have 2 mini boxes. Both work fine on my old Samsung TV. When I connect either box to my 2 year old Samsung TV the remote doesn't work ! I cant understand why. It doesn't make sense.  I plug either in the bedroom and everything works fine. Plug either in the lounge...nothing. I noticed that I had a Samsung software update the other day. Not sure if relevant.

I should add when I say the remote doesn't work I mean the Sky min box remotes.

@Joeboy22 Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Hi all

I worked it out...My sky mini box is clipped into a plastic  'holder' on the wall behind the TV. If I take the box out and place it in my hand the remote works. Back in the holder it stops. It's been working that way pergectly for 18 months with no issues. Weird it's stopped all of a sudden..

@Joeboy22 If the remote is a bluetooth remote (one that has voice activasion on it) then it may have dropped out of bluetooth mode and only be working on infra red which needs line of sight where as blutooth doesn't hence the suggestion to reset your remote
