I have sky signature (no sports or movies) and Netflix included (HD standard with no adds and 2 streams at once).
I pay £9pm for HD on my bill however I believe from reading the forum that BBC, STV, C4 and C5 if there in HD there always going to be in HD without paying the £9.
Is this correct?
If so and this is all I watch im thinking ive been foolish having this in my pack for 16 months as this is all I watch.
It seems then I am paying £9 a month to link my netflix to my sky 😕 as it seems you cant have HD Netflix linked to SKY without the HD option.
Is this also correct?
My bill reads signature £24, Ultimate TV add on (no idea what this is, is this my Netflix if so it seems cheap) and then HD £9
I am trying to save some cash and may keep netflix but im thinking is it worth while unlinking Netflix if its basically costing me the £5+£9 and for the extra few quid im getting some other HD channels i sometimes but rarely watch).

Free to air HD channels (including all the PSB channels) don't require the Sky HD add-on.
Netflix is more complicated: in the past the Sky HD add-on upgraded Netflix Basic to Netflix Standard (and still does on legacy subscriptions) but on newer contracts and all renewals there's a separate Netflix 'boost' to move Standard with Adverts to Standard (and another to Premium) and the Sky HD and UHD add-ons no longer upgrade Netflix at all.

Thank you.
so really I am paying for the ultimate Tv and HD (£14) to really just get Netflix which is £10.99 as dont watch anything else on SKY outside the BBC1-HD BBC2-HD STV-HD, C4-HD and C5HD and odd time ITV2 (cant recall if HD or not).
If correct, are you tied in on these as part of contract do you know? I am 2 months away from end of contract at moment so could easily just keep going and move to essentials and unlink netlflix at this point anyway as cant tag onto essentials. I guess I would need to tell them to cancel HD part at same time!

TV Essentials from Sky wouldn't have HD as an optional add-on anyway, as it's only the free-to-air channels.
