SKY Are behind the times!

In this modern world you would think that Sky would invest in upgrades to the Sky Q system to enable multi room UHD.

I know, I know you can opt for sky glass gen2 but max screen size is 65" and it's not OLED (which is the nuts)!!!

Many of us have invested in OLED tv's in multiple rooms only to discover that sky q mini's are only HD compatible. Very poor planning I know but your missing my point! I shouldn't have to sky should be at the forefront of technology!!!

Not only that many sky dish locations are not where the main TV is located.

take my new house for instance the sky dish is on the back wall where the kitchen and dining room are so the main box is in the kitchen/diner, but the lounge where my UHD OLED TV is located is at the front of the house so now, I can only use a sky q mini so what's the point in having sky UHD not only that my very expensive TV is useless 🤦🏻‍♂️

If I were heading up this programme there would be greater revenue opportunities for Sky that's for sure!

Who else is frustrated with this situation?

SKy Q is indeed in tech terms old now.

SKY Q has a finite lifespan and SKY's development is centred around not only SKY Glass but SKY Stream, where you can have multiple pucks which are UHD capable

Realistically SKY Q is only likely to get App & minor UI tweaks

It may also be worth noting that SKY Q is tech from before Comcast took it over

They were, when Q was released in early 2016.

Since then they've been acquired by a giant American cable corporation (2018) and released a successor platform which is entirely online (2021)

Sky Q will remain as it is now until satellite broadcasting to the UK ceases around the turn of the decade.

That would be what Stream pucks are for.

@ColinJP65  You don't need a SKy Glass TV, you can simply switch to the stream pucks.  What makes you think you need a Glass TV?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
