Looking at your listing on Sunday 16/2/25 you have 2 channels showing the same Premiership football, 2 showing the same Bundesliga football, 2 showing the same tennis tournament with Super League hidden away on Sky+.
It's almost as though you're paying lip service to the sport which in previous years and during the summer months, you promote heavily.

Two separate arguments here that have often cropped up.

Firstly, last season's Super League was an anomaly. Prior to last season Sky showed 2 or 3 live games on linear channels out of each weekend round of fixtures. Last season's new deal had Sky showing all games. It was always intended that these extra games would be on the Sky Sports+ App (with the 2 or 3 remaining on the, recordable, linear channels). However, the App wasn't ready in time for the start of the Super League season so Sky had no choice but to fit them into the linear channel lineup, which gave the bonus of being able to record them all.  Once the App launched around August, the 'extra' games were moved to it as always intended. 2 or 3 games remain on the linear channels.  So, Sky haven't really taken away the ability to record every single game, for half a season that ability was there when it was never intended to be.

Note - None of this excuses the poor quality of the streams in the App.

The second point about Sky's channel schedule surrounds Sky Sports Main Event showing the same content as another Sky Sports channel. Well, that's what Main Event does. It showcases the current 'Main Event' being shown across Sky's Sport channels. It's designed so that customers (mainly pubs etc} can just leave that channel on all day and it will show live sport. It's only in extremely rare circumstances where Main Event will be showing something different to one of the other channels.
