I've just received my replacement sky q box after numerous hard drive issues. I cannot get it to connect to my sky wifi. I've tried adding it manually with password (it can see the wifi and the password is definitely correct - still doesn't connect). Tried restarting both the aky q box and the router. I've done a software update on the sky q box. I'm stuck... I don't have a network reset option inthe network settings option either. All my other devices are connected to the wifi with no issues... please help 🙂

Assume you are on 3rd party broadband (ie non Sky).

Press the reset button on the back of your Sky router (this is not the same as powering it off) and once it has reset search again for WiFi networks and your network should show to connect to.

I've just spent half an hour on the phone to sky - re done everything I've already tried numerous times - still not working... they've booked an engineer for 10 days time... awful... any help still appreciated

There is a small reset button on the back of the router near the bottom.

@KBrewin you need to use the WPS button on the Q box and the WPS button on the router to connect them

Make sure that for WPS you are using the correct button on the router.
WPS Button show above.
Reset button is on the back.
Carry out another Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. If you don't get the reset option you will still have a Option to connect by WiFi to Sky router.
As you are on Sky broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically).
(The reset option will start the Q box WPS automatically. However if you don't get the reset option I don't know if the Option to connect to Sky router does.
If the WPS light doesn't flash when you select the option you can press the WPS button on the Q box.
You have two minutes after the Q box WPS light starts flashing to press the router WPS button
Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
